Strasburg Railroad

July 27 & 28- Join us with award-wining photographer Ed Heaton and Tamron in exploring the heart of Amish country and the Strasburg Railroad. The larger-than-life coal-burning steam train is just the beginning of this adventure. We'll be exploring the engines and rail cars up close, and riding this beautifully restored train.

The 45-minute train ride will take us through some of the most beautiful, peaceful and productive Pennsylvania Dutch Countryside. This is an wonderful opportunity to photograph the Amish farms and fields surrounding the railroad that will be the setting for the day. Ed Heaton, Tamron, and the instructors from Dan's Camera City will all be there to be sure you're getting the best shots while at the railroad.

Friday night, guest instructor Ed Heaton and experts from Tamron will present a class to make sure you have the skills and gear to make the most of your Amish country adventure. We'll discuss tips and techniques for great photos, including:

How to visualize your shot while out in the field
Tips on how to improve your composition
Advise on how to make the best of lighting situations while on location
