a hands-on way to learn
Dan's Expeditions are hands-on workshops where you learn by doing. Each Expedition consists of a classroom session to learn new techniques followed by a photo shoot at a wonderful location to put new ideas into practice. Open to photographers of all skill & interest levels, come join the fun!
July 22 & 25 - Learn to get better pictures in any sports or fast-action situation, using the equipment you already own. Then apply what you've learned in a hands-on photo shoot at an Iron Pigs baseball game, with exclusive access to a reserved area right behind the 3rd baseline! Learn more, register online »
September 9 & 12 - Join us at a unique national landmark, kept in a state of preserved ruin and full of textures, light and shapes that invite photographic exploration. You'll learn about techniques and gear to get great photos in this unique location, and get to shoot in non-public areas reserved exclusively for our students! Learn more, register online »
July 29 & August 6 - Learn techniques for great fast-action photos, including advice from three-time world champion Marty Nothstein. Then apply what you’ve learned on race night with exclusive access to a reserved area in the infield for the entire race. Learn more, register online »
