Photo expedition with Dan's
May 7 & 12 - Join us for a photo tour in New York City to capture the essence of the city with your camera. Whether you want to freeze the action in the street or use long exposures to capture the frenzy of Time Square, this expedition is for you.
Start off with a class at Dan's to learn techniques for making compelling photographs of the amazing architecture, beautiful parks, and Big Apple icons like Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Center. You'll get tips on everything from having fun with your point-and-shoot camera in the city to using HDR photography to bring home amazing images full of color and texture.
Then, at our photo shoot in NYC, Dan's experts will be right there with you to answer your questions and help you get great photos. We'll guide you through a number of planned shooting venues, point out some great photo opportunities, and provide immediate feedback on your pictures for a day full of fun and learning at an amazing location.

Getting around the city: Several areas with great photo opportunities are within walking distance from one another. Do wear comfortable shoes so you can make the most of this expedition. You'll be responsible for your own travel within the city and we will make it as easy as we can by making the most of each area we photograph. You'll find many opportunities to shoot before moving on.
Our goal is to start at a shooting venue that offers some specific photo opportunities, plus a surrounding area that has great subjects to explore with your camera. How you approach each subject and shooting venue is entirely up to you. Dan’s experts will be there to help!
