Meet our Instructors
Dan's Camera City is proud to have a staff with the most experience and qualifications of any non-credit program. Our staff has a great combination of formal training in photography and education as well as many years of practical photographic experience. DPU staff strive to provide you with the most rewarding photo class experience possible whether you are a snap-shooter, enthusiast or professional.
Philip Voystock
Philip majored in Communications at Penn State University, has been in the training industry for over 17 years, and has over 23 years of photography experience. This combined experience has prepared him for the role of our “Dean”. Extensive experience with 35mm, medium format and digital cameras allows Philip to guide students of every level. Philip is a Certified Photographic Consultant and a Retail Supervisor at Dan’s.
Jason Mahoney
With an Associates Degree in Photography from Northampton Community College and The University of the Arts, Jason’s focus is wedding and portrait photography. After over 12 years of experience Jason opened his own successful business, JM Photography. Continuing his education, Jason is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Society of Photofinishing Engineers.
TJ Burger
TJ has been with Dan's Camera City for nearly 20 years and is the Digital Camera department manager. TJ is also an instructor in Dan's Photo University drawing on his many years of experience training large and small groups on video, digital and film camera operation, and software applications. In addition to almost 30 years experience as a photo hobbyist, TJ is a Certified Photo Consultant.
Amy Kinnon
Amy brings a unique perspective to Dan's as a photo enthusiast and a mother of two young children, with over 7 years of experience teaching scrapbook- ing and photo related classes. Amy has a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mike Robinson
Mike graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on photography. Mike has over 13 years of experience in the film and video industry working on many national commercials and feature films.
