Contest Prizes

  5. The top 10 and People's Choice photos will be published in Lehigh Valley Style magazine in January 2011. Each winner will also receive Goodie Bag containing a one-year subscription to Lehigh Valley Style, a $20 Gift Card to Pandini’s, and more!
  6. People who cast a vote for the People's Choice category will also be automatically entered in a random drawing on Thursday, September 8, 2011 to win great prizes.

Contest Rules

  1. Online entries must be digital photographs in JPEG format. Enhancement and/or manipulation of the photo is accepted.
  2. Images should be at least 3 megapixels (approx. 1984×1488 or larger), to ensure high-quality 8x10 prints.
  3. Maximum upload file size per photo is 5 megabytes.
  4. Maximum of two entries per person.
  5. Photos must be taken by person entering them. Prizes will be awarded only to the original photographer. 
  6. Amateur photographers (those who earn less than ¼ of their income from photography) ages 18 and over are eligible to win. Photographs taken by professionals are not eligible.
  7. All photographs must be previously unpublished.
  8. Photos that violate or infringe upon someone else's copyright are not eligible for entry.
  9. All winning entries become the property of sponsoring organizations and may be used solely for marketing and promoting the current and future "Life in the Valley" Photo Contests.
  10. The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, Dan’s Camera City, Olympus, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Lehigh Valley Style employees and members of their immediate families are not eligible to win prizes.

How Winners Are Selected

The Top Ten photo contest winners will be chosen by official judges and will be announced at the Photo Contest Awards Party on September 8th, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. located in Town Square at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley.

The People’s Choice Award

One photo entry will be identified as the People’s Choice winner. This winner is selected by popular vote using official contest ballots. Voting is conducted at two locations (Dan’s Camera City in Allentown & The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Center Valley) during two separate rounds of public voting. The People’s Choice winner will receive a Prize Package (value TBD).

Voting for People’s Choice

1st Round: Cast an official People’s Choice ballot at Dan’s Camera City in Allentown, PA. The top 100 semi-finalists will on display at Dan’s from July 18 through August 7, 2011.

2nd Round: Official judges will determine 30 finalists from the group of 100 semi-finalists. The 30 Finalists’ photos will be on display from August 12 through September 5, 2011 at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Center Valley, PA. This is the last chance to cast an official People’s Choice ballot and determine the People’s Choice winning photo.

Anyone over the age of 13 may vote. Limit 1 ballot per person per voting round. This means you may vote at Dan’s Camera City and again at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. People who vote will automatically be entered in a random drawing on Thursday, September 8, 2011 to win great prizes.
