Golden Age Air Museum

Golden Age Air MuseumMay 2 & 4 - Take a journey back in time with Dan's Camera City and local photographer Frank Smith as we visit Golden Age Air Museum, a hidden gem located in Bethel, PA. This local airfield and airplane museum has an amazing collection of old planes and antique cars, which they'll bring out of the museum and onto the airfield for a unique, up-close photographic opportunity. And to round out our day of shooting, we'll also bring models in period costumes! Join us for a great chance to practice macro, HDR, stylized portraits, and of course, vintage airplane photography.

Prior to the expedition, guest instructor Frank Smith will host a 2-hour seminar to help you prepare for this exclusive Dan's event. Topics will include:

  • Using elements of design to compose more interesting shots
  • Helpful hints for discovering less-obvious vantage points
  • Understanding how different focal lengths help tell your story
  • How to use HDR techniques and in-camera art filters to help you in challenging lighting situations
  • Benefits and ideas for post-processing and using different software to help enhance your images
Your expedition includes:
  • 4-hour photo shoot at Golden Age Air Museum
  • 2-hour seminar with local award-winning photographer Frank Smith
  • Hands-on photography advice from Frank Smith and Dan’s photo experts during the shoot
  • Light Refreshments
