Clover Hill Winery

with photographer Frank Smith

September 22 & 24 - From the industrial elements in the wine-making areas to the charm of the barrel room and large store display areas, Clover Hill Vineyard offers a wonderful combination of photographic opportunities. Couple these areas with the sweeping vineyard on a gentle hill, and there are plenty of great photographs waiting for you.

A classroom seminar at Dan's will prepare you to photograph the variety of subjects and scenery at the winery. You'll learn about:

  • Adding depth and drama to your scenery photos with camera filters and techniques like High Dynamic Range photography.
  • Capturing fine detail and getting your camera to focus in close for superb photos of flowers, insects, and other small subjects.

The day of the expedition, we'll be joined by local photographer Frank Smith. He'll get us started with a talk about his approach to photography, and then provide hands-on guidance throughout the day. Here's your chance to have a very experienced photographer help you improve your photo skills on location. Frank has traveled around the world photographing a large variety of subjects and sharing his lifelong passion for photography.
