Work at Dan's: School Photos Department
Dan’s Camera City has a part-time opening in our Photo Ops department. This department is responsible for services such as:
- School Photo Services - Visiting schools and daycares to acquire great portraits of the students and staff. Capturing images for the school’s yearbooks including posed groups, candids, and action photos.
- Seasonal & Commemorative Photos - Photos with Santa and the Easter Bunny in various locations. On-site photo shoots and instant print delivery for companies, organizations, and other events such as fundraisers.
- PhotoBooths - On-location service ideal for weddings, parties, and any special occasion.
You can be trained for one, two, or all three areas.

Requirements
The selected candidate will:
- Be upbeat and outgoing with a positive attitude. Enjoy interaction and rapport building with clients of all ages, especially children.
- Able to be trained in basic photo techniques used in volume photography situations.
- Be able to attain all school-required background clearances.
- Be competent at multi-tasking while ensuring details are fully covered.
- Have no difficulty standing and bending for several hours, carrying items of up to 25 pounds, and have reliable transportation to any part of the greater Lehigh Valley and western New Jersey.
Schedule
School Photos - mainly occur late summer through the fall, are Monday - Friday, early morning until early afternoon. Some hours may be available in the spring, and assisting in production at Dan's photo lab.
Santa & Easter Bunny - seasonal hours, usually on weekends.
PhotoBooth Operator - hours can occur anytime of the year though tend to be around the holidays and in the spring. Some are daytime and some are weekend/evening depending on the event.
Compensation
Standardized hourly rates, which vary depending on the nature of the task being completed.
