Saving your work

As you adjust your photos, you will be prompted to save your work (A). If you make any changes to a photo you will see this message when you move on to another photo.

To save the changes you made choose Save. A second file is created with the same name as the original with Changed added the file name.

To save the new photo to a different folder or in a different format or with a different name, click Save As.

If you do not wish to save your changes click Don't Save.

Click Go Back to return to working on your photo.

Adjusting Color and Brightness

Note: if sending your Photos to Dan's Camera City for prints do not adjust the color or brightness of the photos. We include professional adjustments at no extra cost.

autofix buttonPhoto Finale 3.0 includes an automatic feature for brightness and color adjustments. Select a photo and click Auto Fix (B). This provides an automated adjustment to several aspects of the photo, and may be better than using the manual method described below.

To manually adjust the color, brightness, and contrast, select a photo and click on Photo then Correct (C). You will see a preview of the corrections as you apply them to the photo on the left, and compare them with the original photo on the right.

Choose OK to accept the changes, Reset to return to the original setting, or Cancel to exit without saving any changes.

To change your photo to Black & White or Sepia Toned, choose Effects (D) from the Photo menu.

Reducing Red-Eye

redeye buttonPhoto Finale 3.0 features a wonderful automated Red-Eye tool. To reduce the appearance of red-eye in your photos, select a photo and click the Red Eye button.

After a moment you should notice that any red-eye has been removed. If some is still visible, click Fix More once or twice. If there's still red-eye visible after that do not continue to click Fix More, as this may result in other red parts of the photo being affected.

Click Done (G) to exit the Red-Eye mode.
