Contest Entries

  1. Entries must be photographs or inkjet prints. Enhancement and/or manipulation of the photo is accepted.
  2. Size must be 8×10, 8×12 or 8×14 inches. 8½×11 inkjet prints will be trimmed down to 8×10. Framed, mounted or matted prints will not be accepted.
  3. Limit one entry per person. Photo must be taken by person entering it. Prizes will be awarded only to the original photographer. Photographs taken by professionals are not eligible.
  4. Each print may be entered in only one Dan’s Camera City contest.
  5. Photo must have been taken within one year of the entry deadline.
  6. Reasonable care will be taken to prevent damage to entries. Dan’s Camera City is not responsible for lost or damaged prints. All entries receive a 30% discount coupon for custom & ready made frames (max discount $30).
  7. All winning entries become the property of Dan’s Camera City. Non-winning entries can be claimed after the voting period has ended & the “winners” board is displayed. Return of entries by mail can be arranged.
  8. Dan’s employees and members of their immediate families are not eligible to win prizes.
  9. Winners will be chosen by popular vote.

How to Vote

  1. Stop in our store and look for the display of contestn entries. Cast your ballot at Dan’s store during the voting period.
  2. Anyone over the age of 13 may vote. Limit 1 ballot per person, per contest.
  3. Voters will be randomly chosen for prizes.

About the theme:

Our contest themes provide a common element in the entries. Feel free to interpret it as you like. The prominence of the theme in a photo should not be considered by the voters.
