We're happy to announce the new photo contests for 2008. Enter your photo for a chance to win cameras and other photo prizes. Look for the contest display the next time you’re in the store. Read the complete contest rules, and enter for your chance to win!

Whether you’re a beginning snap shooter or advanced hobbyist, we are here to help you get better pictures. Picture taking tips and advice are always free. Ask about borrowing our how-to video tapes, free of charge.

How to Enter

Enter online
Use the online entry form (see links below each contest) to send us a JPEG image file, and for $3.49 (plus tax) we’ll make an enlargement suitable for entry in the contest.
There is no charge to enter the contest. The cost is just our standard 8×10 enlargement price.
Or bring us your photo
Bring your photographs or inkjet prints (sized 8×10, 8×12 or 8×14) to Dan’s. 8½×11 prints will be trimmed to 8×10. Make sure it’s clearly marked for the contest you’re entering! Framed, mounted or matted prints will not be accepted.

Please note: we must receive at least 30 entries to run the contest.

About the theme

Our contest themes provide a common element in the entries. Feel free to interpret it as you like. The prominence of the theme in a photo should not be considered by the voters.
